Wolcen - Full Release!

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is going into full release on Feb 13th, 2020!  I've been following this ARPG since it was first Kickstarted way back in 2015.  I've played it once or twice throughout the development process... Some Alpha, some Beta.  Overall it has come along very nicely, and I have high hopes for the future of this game.  This game has been discussed as once of the top games that will be pit against Diablo IV for the next generation of ARPG's on the market.  I know Cecil and I will be playing for sure.  Come join us in-game and on Discord!

Smite - Free To Play.

Smite is a 3D fantasy MOBA where players take on the role of mythological gods and battle in team-based arenas. Unlike other MOBAs, SMITE puts you directly onto the battlefield with a third-person action viewpoint. From blind-side ambushes to aimed shots, a new pantheon of strategic possibilities awaits.  Become a legend of myth, enter the Battleground of the Gods, and play FREE now!

Game Modes:
Conquest – the main 5v5 game mode. Features three lanes and a jungle area filled with neutral monsters. Arena – a 5v5 game mode with an open battle area rather than lanes. Each team begins with 500 points and must reduce the other side's to zero by killing heroes, minions, and escorting allied minions to portals. Joust – a 3v3 game mode with a single lane which otherwise plays like Conquest mode. Joust can also be played 1v1. Assault – similar to ARAM (All Random, All Mid) in LoL, players are assigned a random God and fight on a map with a single lane. Siege – a faster version of Conquest. Siege mode consists of only two lanes and contains a special Siege Juggernaut minion that deals extra damage to structures.
Never played a battle arena before? Don’t worry. Auto-buy, auto-level, and the deathmatch-like Arena mode let you jump right into divine MOBA action. Aspiring pro? Top the ladders, join a competitive team, and you too could be playing at the SMITE World Championship.

So I got the Veteran pack and started messing with the game. I have checked in Mumble a few times but never seem to catch anyone, or Aveno is in there but unresponsive :P hehe

Can someone explain to me the damage numbers at the end of the match... Is it bugged to hell? I will get a kill, take out a module or two and still have near 0 damage done!

Also, the weapons... I am liking lazers since they are easy to aim and handle with those fast lil Shinazzys, but what is best? I have focused on the Dragon so far (Enjoy the Defense/Holding the Offensive Line) but is it the best choice?

One last thing, Where all the COTPers YO!

Hello, all the xp numbers at the end is still new and is based on the damage you do in game. During the fight, when you do said damage you should see the numbers show up in the top left of your screen. It will say, "component damage +50” or something like that. If you spend time in the cap or do damage to a mech in your base you get xp under the “capture”. I think the Dev's are still working on finishing the list because not all of the list populates yet and the points aren't always registering.

Lazers look like the favorite so far. I think this is because of ammo, since they don't need any. They are also easier to aim since you can fir them and then adjust the beam onto the target if you need to. The downside is heat. They build up fast! I like the guns. Give me sniper duty with half a map distance and a Gauss and I am happy. That is if I don't have my LRM's.

Glad to have you on board!

Hey bud, glad to have you aboard!

The game is still in beta, so you will have many glitches they are working on.

Though you may see no damage done, you do get exp, base line for a win, plus more for damage, etc. Straight up, kills give the most.

I've been on a little, due to vacation, not a whole lot.

Currently the game has two major tech issues they are addressing. While playing matches, you will crash back to the mech lab screen, just had 2 of the last 3 matches do that, and its been going on and known for a few days.

Second, since the last patch, the game looks and moves much better, detail is higher, even on low graphics settings, yet people are complaining of major heat increases in their GPUs. My example, I have the GPU heat gadget on my desktop and watch it, because I have a gaming laptop on a cooling pad. I normally ran the game around 160F, but not it has been spiking to 200F and I even got a nasty shutdown once, so I have reduced the laptop performance profile to reduce the GPU performance, but that equals lower frame rates. My new computer is waiting for me when I get home, so will see how that goes.

All in all, I love the Gaus Rifle myself, I posted someone else's analysis that it is the best ballistic gun in the game...as it should be, hehe.

You can get top damage, in the 1500-2000 range if you have a couple LRM20s and are able to keep them pummeling a target, but high damage does not equal more exp atm, I consistently got less exp then folks with more kills than me, despite my crazy high damage.

I don't have the computer needed yet to run light mechs like a champ, but the Dragon and Hunchback are major ass kickers.

We'll keep at it, and keep reporting.

As the other 2 said, the numbers are still in development, don't make sense and in some cases are bugged. I've seen guys get 2 kills and show 0 damage. Not really understanding that. But the numbers we DO know are:

500 for a win

50 for a kill

15 for destroying a component

40 for being part of a cap IF you cap and win.

You get -150 exp and -150k cbills for team killing someone. At least that's what it shows in the game. When you are done it comes out at -15exp and minus (I THINK) about 2k. I'm pretty sure they'll fix this shortly. I'd be surprised if it's not in the patch for tomorrow.

As of the todays patch the damage numbers displayed at the end of the match should how correctly identify laser and machine gun damage done.

As a laser boat, the only damage done I show is when I colide with someone, even though I have had up to 6 kills per match. Funny to see 6 kills and 0 damage done :P

I haven't had much luck finding people to play with in Mumble yet and have been using the Teamspeak 3 beta servers MWO has provided the beta testers. Personally I think it would be a great way to create interest in the guild if those of us that are currently in beta put a tag before or after our name, start hanging out in a specific drop ship chanell, be visible, organized, friendly and helpful there and started recruiting people. I expect that the people that are shelling out $$$ for this free to play have a greater chance of staying around after launch and I know a lot of others have formed and are recruiting people into their clans already - I was asked to join two different clans last night alone.

Sorry to hear you haven't had any luck with mumble. Aveno and myself spend quite a bit of time in channel there. I will continue to look for you.
