Wolcen - Full Release!

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is going into full release on Feb 13th, 2020!  I've been following this ARPG since it was first Kickstarted way back in 2015.  I've played it once or twice throughout the development process... Some Alpha, some Beta.  Overall it has come along very nicely, and I have high hopes for the future of this game.  This game has been discussed as once of the top games that will be pit against Diablo IV for the next generation of ARPG's on the market.  I know Cecil and I will be playing for sure.  Come join us in-game and on Discord!

Smite - Free To Play.

Smite is a 3D fantasy MOBA where players take on the role of mythological gods and battle in team-based arenas. Unlike other MOBAs, SMITE puts you directly onto the battlefield with a third-person action viewpoint. From blind-side ambushes to aimed shots, a new pantheon of strategic possibilities awaits.  Become a legend of myth, enter the Battleground of the Gods, and play FREE now!

Game Modes:
Conquest – the main 5v5 game mode. Features three lanes and a jungle area filled with neutral monsters. Arena – a 5v5 game mode with an open battle area rather than lanes. Each team begins with 500 points and must reduce the other side's to zero by killing heroes, minions, and escorting allied minions to portals. Joust – a 3v3 game mode with a single lane which otherwise plays like Conquest mode. Joust can also be played 1v1. Assault – similar to ARAM (All Random, All Mid) in LoL, players are assigned a random God and fight on a map with a single lane. Siege – a faster version of Conquest. Siege mode consists of only two lanes and contains a special Siege Juggernaut minion that deals extra damage to structures.
Never played a battle arena before? Don’t worry. Auto-buy, auto-level, and the deathmatch-like Arena mode let you jump right into divine MOBA action. Aspiring pro? Top the ladders, join a competitive team, and you too could be playing at the SMITE World Championship.

Math problems - figuring out site payout

Recommended Posts

Today we ran 3 sites with 6 people

Shadow x3 100% Tier

Fancy x3 100%

Davidus x3 100%

Joker x3 @ 100%

Todac x1 @ 75%

Archie x1 100%

Total amount to be paid out - 1,802,382,818

The payout seemed especially harsh for the people who came into the sites late

So my question is, are we paying accurately (based on number of sites you attended and your %)

or is there an error in the math

if the math is correct, should we be looking at the payout structure.

This is an Alliance and/or Council issue, but 1st we need smarter math people to look at the equations to figure out this puzzle.

Archeteutis 74,544,636

Davidus 298,178,546

Fancystars 298,178,546

Quinti Aurelius (Joker8784 / Gilmarr / Karima) 298,178,546

Shadow 298,178,546

Todac 55,908,477

Here is a copy of the main spreadsheet to screw with

So everyone ran the same amount of sites?

How many did Archie run? The math doesn't add up there, even if he only ran 1 site, he should have gotten more, based on the amount that the other 100% folks have gotten. Closer to 99,000,000.

If you add all your numbers, its wrong, payouts should be.

4 times 393 mil

1 time 131 mil

1 time 98 mil

Adds up to about the 1'8b

Math is copyrighted

^Joke, but the way i did it is fairly simple

As it is we have a 4 tier system either you get 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%

So i add that into slices so if a player is at 75% we will get 3 slices per site he runs. Add up all the slices, like shadow did 3 sites at 100% = 12 slices, people who did alike is also at 12 slices im at 3 and Archie is at 4, that makes 55 slices.
Which basicly means four people get 12/55 = 22%, Arhie is at 4/55 = 7%, me 3/55 = 5% (rounded numbers) (4 * 22) + 7 + 5 = 100%.
But then again, i can b wrong

The way Todac did the calculation is what I was thinking. I did a quick excel sheet (not looking at the google docs) and came up with the same figures as Todac...assuming that you did 100% payout of the 1.8 to players and no split to alliance.

I'm at work so can't access google docs or upload my spreadsheet but i'll attach a link with my sample later. I'm sure it is easy enough to modify the existing worksheet (doing from scratch took 5-10 minutes).

Can someone ( Mike, todac, joker, davidus are examples of people who seem capable of doing the math)

Take a look at the copy of the spreadsheet I linked in the first post and see if you can modify the formula to fix this issue ?

Just on a quick look, the alliance tax and loot seller taxes are still in there.

The payout of 1.8 bil is down to 1.34 bil after taxes.

Based on 1.34 bil payout, the numbers per player are accurate.

Yeah, def easier to do my own but I can look at the sheet. Even if payout was 1.34 after taxes, my numbers dont match shadow's. Not sure the figure for seller taxes. Shadow....emailed you at Gmail a sample sheet to play with

On the formula sheet, cell R9 is the alliance tax %, its at 25 right now, if you put it to 0 everyone should get more monies.

Ok pardon the math, I just do a lot of work with excel type things.

Total loot value 1.916 bil.

5% seller .096 bil

25% tax .479 bil

Total value to give out to players 1.341 bil

per site value of 447 mil.

4 players for 2 sites is 111.75*2 = 223.5 mil

6 player site, 447 to share.

5.75 shares total.

1 share = 77.7 mil

4 players (223.5 +77 = 300)

100% player, 77 mil

75% player 58.125 mil

So, that's rather accurate, let me double check to make sure those extra 2-3 mils are just rounding errors.

I didn't take into account with the sales tax and such.

But if the total payout is
1.341 bil then your original calculations seem correct

So the problem is in row 110 on the fomula's sheet.

Number of pilots is based on just a simple count, you actually want to have 5.75 pilot's for that site for the calculations to be accurate.

I think this sheet is free to edit, so I'll see if I can do something that works.

Ok I changed H110 to P110, it will now add up all the %'s of the people present to make the proper share calculation. You should be able to drop that in and have it all working.

Also, spreadsheet math matches napkin math, so, I'm fairly confident that its correct. (remembering that the seller and alliance cuts are included, taking out either of them should still allow the sheet to work fine).

P.S. You should totally add in a 0.05% cut to mathamagition... :hi:

so you fixed the spreadsheet i listed here?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ate_vz0fcMsfdDNHa2hyYUx1N1p1d3labmZXYmpKclE#gid=3

because the actual live spreadsheet shows the difference between the payouts to be just a few million / person

almost not worth adjusting... http://i.imgur.com/p3tZAsH.png

so assuming the original spreadsheet is accurate, we might need to dive deeper into the question of payouts

I updated the screw with spreadsheet. You are correct, the difference is small, and the difference is caused by the % payout.

Essentially its taking the 25% that the 75% person didn't get, and its giving it to the loot seller.

Its worth adjusting if you want it to be accurate when you have many people with under 100% shares in the loot list.
