Have you ever tried join a "free for all", everyone against everyone, while being on mumble with fellow guild members? Evens the odds quite a bit Also be aware, I'm just waiting for you guys to join... once I see more activity I'm planning to organize training and tuning sessions with the top dogfighting pilots in Arena Commander.... so no laziness here and don't be mistaken: Arena commander is now 1.0 --> and playable! and FUN !!! A few hints to get started: see our member forums to add guild mates to friends list (there's a sticky post for their user IDs) tune your ship... guns changed in the hangar can be used as such in Arena Commander. E.g. super hornet with 6 x Omnisky VI lasers is a good choice!Try that in single player drone combat before joining multiplayer battles customize your keyboard layout. Deactivate all buttons that you don't need or don't know what they do, especially when playing with keyboard. You won't miss them for a start. Too much controls makes the game uncontrollable and unnecessary complex. Try your config in single player - just fly around a bit and see if it feels natural. EXPORT your layout (so you don't have to redo it) Make sure to be in mumble on your first flights... helps to have a guildie around give you a few basic hints. Also helps to communicate during battle. Combat basic hints: some basics that will improve your luck in fights customize your guns. All guns of one type make aiming easier. use numpad 8 key to move all shield energy forward, when approaching an enemy head-on. Click 5 to rebalance shields. click mousewheel button once to lock a missile. Click mousewheel again to lock another missile. HOLD mousewheel to fire ALL LOCKED MISSILES AT ONCE!no point locking more than 2 at a time... a single missile hit kills. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Firedancer Posted January 8, 2015 Author Share Posted January 8, 2015 dang, could help you with a ship... but not with a pc sadly :/ - extra job? don't need too much for the game though... my 4 year old guest-pc can run it just fine - and that's a real crappy machine, 4y old $100 graphix card, not at all optimized for gaming.
