Oort
That UI would be really handy on a touch-screen.
Prism
No kidding about the touch screen. It would be super awesome (though unlikely) if they created an android/ios app that could run while you're flying a ship in game. Ah, wishful thinking... Firedancer
Not all that unlikely... They mentioned thinking of things like that (menues shifted to pad) and wanting to do it Question is how complex and how secure that would be.. So might not be too high up their priority list
Tessaya
Not on shields but interesting design none the less, the recent 10 for the designers hints of a balance pass for the thrusters power ( here , explaining that the small thrusters will probably be provided thrust by the main thruster, so losing it will have much more of an impact that it has now). Skjoldr
Battlefield 4 has an app for players to connect to live games, so not sure why they couldn't I posted https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/231585/idea-android-ipad-tablets-apps-for-specific-ship-systems-ie-shield-controls-power-distribution Edited February 12, 2015 by Skjoldr

Skjoldr
I have an Android standing next to my mouse pad, and it works like a charm to adjust basic shield and power settings
Prism
Wow I never actually thought they would add that in, and yet it's already available? That's sick! I definitely need that app.
Oort
Not from CIG, though. Haven't tried it yet -- a little leery, especially given it's not from CIG. If you run SC as admin, does the server also require admin (to be in the same security context)?
Skjoldr
And for iPad. https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/192337/ipad-control-surface Not from CIG, though. Haven't tried it yet -- a little leery, especially given it's not from CIG. If you run SC as admin, does the server also require admin (to be in the same security context)? I have Win7 64bit and did not have to give it admin rights. The server is basically a port listener that replicates commands to the game and the android device also listens at that port for an ip. Yep I know this could be all kinds of problems, but I just feel someone who invests their time into something like this with the intention to market it would avoid bad reviews by enabling spys and what not. This doesn't mean someone else wont, but I haven't wiped my computer in a while, so if it does happen, then I will get a clean machine. theJaeks
I am expecting CIG will produce a full app setup since they've talked about moving the different pad displays from your cockpit ingame to your real cockpit in your room for a long time. I can see an explosion in sales of the cheap $50 pads when that happens. I'd plan on 3 pads minimum I think
