Anahlia
I don't think I saw a thread about this yet so I thought I'd mention: Mythic dungeons have a chance to drop heirloom trinkets that scale from level 100 to level 110, similar to the heirloom weapons that could be acquired from Garrosh in Siege of Orgimmar at the end of Pandaria, which scaled from level 90 to level 100. These trinkets will no longer be obtainable after Legion launches on August 30. These heirlooms don't give any sort of experience boost, unlike the ones that you can buy for other slots from the heirloom vendor in Ironforge or the guild vendor, but if they're similar to the previous weapons then they will probably tend to be better than at-level quest rewards as you level through Legion. They also go into your heirloom collection like all other heirlooms, so if you can get them on one character you can then get copies of them on other characters. At level 100 the trinkets are ilvl 715, and are not bad, especially if you're fighting demons, against which the trinkets have bonus effects. They scale up to ilvl 815 at level 110. There are 5 trinkets (these are wowhead.com links, a lot of the same information I'm mentioning here can be found in the comments over there): Agility dps: Infallible Tracking Charm Strength dps: Gronntooth War Horn Intellect dps: Orb of Voidsight Tank: Purified Shard of the Third Moon Healer: Judgment of the Naaru The trinkets have a low (estimated to be 5-10%) chance to drop from any boss in a mythic dungeon, independent from whether or not the boss drops another piece of loot from its normal loot table. The trinkets go directly to your bags (or your mailbox, if your bags are full), so you technically don't even have to loot the boss. You can only have a chance at loot from a boss once a week, which includes the chance to get an heirloom trinket. The first trinket you get on a character will always be the trinket assigned to that character's loot spec when they kill the boss, unless you already have the trinket for that loot spec. After the first trinket on that character, there is an equal chance to randomly get any of the other ones the next time a trinket drops. Mythic dungeons cannot be queued for in the dungeon finder, so there is no hardline minimum ilvl to get in, only what your group leader wants. In my experience, a lot of groups listed in the group finder will ask for item level of 690+, some higher, some lower. Mythic dungeons drop base ilvl 685 loot, with a chance for warforged upgrades up to ilvl 720, and they're also a good source of valor for ilvl upgrades. If you have trouble getting into groups it's best to just start your own, or grab some helpful guildies/friends. They're especially popular this week because the weekly garrison quest gives a bonus 500 valor and a chest with a piece of loot from heroic Hellfire Citadel, but there will probably be a number of groups next week as well as people try to get trinkets last-minute before Legion launches. Given the low droprate, if you didn't have any of the trinkets yet it would be hard to get all of the trinkets before Legion launches, but technically not impossible. Even just having one for your main might be helpful. I've seen people get 3 trinkets out of one dungeon, and I've also done all 8 mythic dungeons every week for a month and not seen a single one. I have all 5 myself, and I can bring my main to dps or heal some of these dungeons to help guildies who are interested in trying to get some of the trinkets. I'm usually available most nights with the exception of Tuesday from 7:30-10:30PST.
