Spend some cash to get enough zen for one month of VIP status,or save all your AD until you convert enough of it for the zen to buy VIP status.

 

1.  Get your LockBox Keys:

 

Collect the daily lockbox keys, wait until you have at least 20 lockbox keys, then open lockboxes with those keys,

Don't open any boxes/caches/chests/troves you get from those lockboxes, just sell the loot from the lockboxes directly,

 

 

2.  Get your Astral Diamonds converted to Zen:

 

Exchange the AD you get from the sales into ZEN using the Astral Diamond Exchange.

  If there is no Zen to be purchased, just put in buy orders for 500AD/Zen and they will get filled usually in small amounts.

 

 

3.  Gather your Celestial Bags from Invocation for Coupons:

 

As you invoke everyday, you start to pile up Celestial Bags of refining; they don't stack and can't be mailed to other characters.

    So they take up bag space, yet they are valuable because most contain some sort of coupon.

With a new character, you have all free bag and bank space to store bags.

Once the new character reaches the level to invoke, start saving up the bags, when you get closer to buying your next VIP level, you should have all of your 1000 zen in the Astral Diamond Exchange from having your buy orders for Zen filled.

Open C-Bags on the new character until you get a coupon worth x% off any item or VIP, if you get one, you will save 150 or more off of VIP status.

 

 

4. To consolidate all your Astral Diamonds onto one character for Auction House purchases:

 

Depending on the character you get the coupon on, move your AD from all accounts to that account using the Zen/AD exchange.

  You post a Buy Zen order to buy zen at a stupidly low price that no one will sell you Zen for.  

  Then you log on to the coupon character and cancel that order, as its all on the same account, and then withdraw the AD to that account, and use it all to buy the

     thing you want from the Auction House along with any coupons you might get.

With a little bit of loot luck, you might be able to go from 1 month ViP directly to 12 months ViP without paying a single cent for it...

Added the following:

 

Use the Zen/AD exchange to place Buy Zen orders for low AD amounts that no one will sell you zen for and do as follows to pool your zen onto the one character.

Adventurer Seals and the Seal Trader.

 

You get Adventurer's Seals as you travel around.  I have a level 24 Lock, and am at the carrying limit of 1200 seals - you can't get or carry any more until you spend the ones you have, this is a HUGE missed opportunity if you don't spend them so you can get more.

 

When you are at or near the 1200, go to Enclave and the Market / Traders Square and see the Adventurer Seal Trader.

She sells gear for a number of level ranges, but it is all garbage as none of it has enchantment slots.

She also sells General Wares, here lies the golden treasure.

You can use 500 ASeals to get a Bag of 500 Rough astral diamonds.

The much better deal is to purchase the Rank 5 Dark Enchantments for 100 each and sell them for around 300 on the AH, 500 worth of Enchantments will get you about 1200AD after taxes, and you can get a total of 12 of them, and use them in your gear as soon as able.

Specifically get the Arkaiun Courser and the Jubilee Parade Horse for a stacking bonus of Comeraderie and Frienship, a large jump in Power and Defense, really large.
