    Coins of Waukeen Event Guide

The Coins of Waukeen is one of the minor events in Neverwinter that run as side gig over some weekends. Likewise its rewards are neither spectacular nor particularly hard to get. Let’s nonetheless go over the most important things and discuss how to get the stuff you want!

    Bling-Bling

Waukeen, the goddess of coins and wealth and also called the “Golden Lady”, doesn’t mess around and spreads her favorite color everywhere. Everything starts with Waukeen's Coin Purses that drop by defeating foes that are within seven levels of you. Those purses can then be either opened for rewards or exchanged for a Waukeen’s Strongbox (8:1) or Waukeen’s Treasure Chest (32:1) at the Waukeen Merchant in the Moonstone Mask. It’s by the way the only event vendor that stays permanently.

    Farming

Farming the purses is fairly easy. The more mobs you slay, the more purses are going to drop. They are uncapped, but might be subject to a minor internal cooldown. Other event drops in example can only appear once every 30 seconds. Generally areas with a lot of mobs in which you can farm relatively undisturbed are best. Some players prefer the Strongholds for that, but Elemental Evil adventure zones are decent as well. In scaled content the difference in level between the mobs and toons is calculated using the scaled level. That’s why 70s will also see drops in the Drowned Shore or Call to Arms events.

Limited to only PC is farming through the Foundry. You could probably even directly search for Waukeen in the directory, but any farm quests with lots of mobs on a generic map will do. I’m not too sure it’s actually still possible today. Some stuff might not drop in the Foundry to prevent these farming techniques.

    Rewards

The purses, strongboxes and chests contain all the rewards and event currency. All three have a chance to drop Coin of Waukeen, which can be used to buy weapon transmutes at the event vendor. Strongboxes additionally offer the Golden Pantaloons and chests the Waukeen's Golden Cloak. These unique rewards however are not the only reason why bigger boxes generally make more sense. Although some stuff scales according to the exchange rates, like ADs, strongboxes and chests get rid of some of the worst rewards and offer better profession resources.

Granted, both of the transmutes are pretty cheap on the Auction House, but nobody needs potions and teleport scrolls either. Just note that the chest does no longer contain Blessed Gold Dye Packs. So I personally would open a mix of strongboxes and chests. You should probably get what you want without dedicating most of the event days farming the purses.

    Conclusion

Although it might seem otherwise, the event is not particularly great in amassing RADs. You can hold the boxes for a Double Astral Diamond event, but we know those do not come very frequently.  If RADs are what you’re looking for, you’re much better off running dungeons in my opinion.

It’s more that Coins of Waukeen is one of those nice little events that add something extra to the daily grind routine. If you like the transmutes or dye pack, great. Everyone else still has a chance at some RADs or profession resources, which is nice as well considering that you don’t really have to do something extra for it.

    Coins of Wakeen Returns

The goddess Waukeen, known as the Merchant’s Friend, is sharing her blessings once again with the heroes of Neverwinter. We’re happy to announce the return of the Coins of Waukeen Event!

Coins of Waukeen Starts Thursday, November 22 at 7:30am PT

Coins of Waukeen Ends Tuesday, November 28 at 7:30am PT

The Golden Lady has come back, for a limited time, to give adventurers an opportunity to accumulate great wealth. During the event, adventurers may be rewarded with a Waukeen's Coin Purse by battling monsters within 7 levels of them. Adventurers must be level 10 or higher to participate. You can open your Coin Purses right away; however, exchanging them in bulk in the Moonstone Mask will net you even more valuable Waukeen reward packs.

How do you access the Moonstone Mask Tavern? Head into Protector's Enclave to the event dais, where many event NPCs have been located. Once there you will be able to enter the Moonstone Mask Tavern through the swirly portal next to the NPC. In the tavern you’ll find a merchant to trade-in Waukeen's Coin Purses for Waukeen's Strongbox (8 needed) or Waukeen's Treasure Chest (32 needed). Additionally, you can trade purses in for Weapon Transmutes which will cost 40-80 Coins of Waukeen.

In addition to possibly getting up to 256,000 Astral Diamonds, players could be rewarded with some great fashion items, dyes, and weapon transmutes!

    Gold is for the Bold!

The items from this event are mostly the fashion items and transmutations to change the appearance of your weapons and gear.
Notice though that you have a shot at a rare or epic profession resource, there are many resources, so the odds of getting a profession grand master are very low.
Most folks just skip this event, though the extra astral diamond boost is the best, just go kill level appropriate monsters, gather up purses and turn them in for extra AD.
    Best of Luck!
