NWO Icewind Dale Survival Thread

Icewind Dale is one of the final campaign zones, and it is difficult for newer level 70 characters, because the denizens deal additional frost damage to you.  If you are not prepared, you will be froze-food!

To help negate these affects, a character should have the following:

Frost negation foods from the Stronghold food vendor.  Basic Set of Frostborn gear from the Tarmalune Trade Bar merchant, costing about 65 TB each piece, TB comes from opening lock boxes.  The next Frost Resistant set is easier to earn and better, the Ostorian Relic armor you can upgrade, it has a higher set of stats and Frost Resistance, you have to run dungeons, earn Seals of the Protector, and turn them in for the first set of armor.  The bad news, the stats drop slightly when the Voninblood that charges the armor runs out.  You have to run dailies and kill monsters in Icewind Dale to get more Voninblood.  An endless cycle, until you finish the campaign.  The area will also drop Potions of EverFrost Resist for another 5% resistance, and they can also be bought on the Auction House.
