Your friendly neighborhood Pinosaur here, sharing some things I have experienced as a Bow taming adrenalin junkie.
-If you are out of a Pteranodon's LOS (directly behind them is best) you can plant arrows without scaring them off (kill or trank) I've done this a few times now, always seems to work. Post here if you have one fly off without turning (at all!) first.
-If you run fast enough to Bow-trank the aggressive meat eaters, kite them past a prey animal. Sarcos always stop to eat turtles, and Spinos stop to eat darn near everything. I haven't done a Rex yet, but when I do there will be a Bronto on my path : )
-Outswimming Piranha: it's around 164 speed.... trust me ;p (now at 170 speed, but I will test it for reals tonight. 164 seemed to be the first time I saw them and lived though...)
more as I get it
