    2. The First Ever Covenant of the Phoenix Live Auction! When: April 1, 2016 starting at 8 PM Eastern (7 Central, 5 Pacific) Where: Govic's Tatooine Stronghold (Govic's Temple of Light) Come one, come all! Covenant of the Phoenix will be dusting off its cargo bays and seeing what shakes out. Several items of value will be available for bids! Members of CotP and even the general public will be more than welcome to toss items in to be bid upon! Come experience the rush of competing with others in real-time for the item of your desire, come experience the thrill of watching an item you put up for sale skyrocket in value as people get into an intense bidding war and come see what treasures you have a shot at! This will be done auction house style. Items will be up individually (or in sets/lots where appropriate) for bids. Once an item is won and handed off the next item will be listed for bids! Look for Auction Assistants on the Imperial and Republic fleet for invites to the stronghold up to a half hour in advance of the auction beginning. Bear in mind that Strongholds can only hold 50 people, so it will be first come first serve! Auction Master: Sylena (Republic) and Eterea (Imperial) Auction Assistants: 2-4 officers from Covenant of the Phoenix Rules for bidding! All bids must be made via the /say command within range of the Auction Master. Bids offered via whisper, general chat, etc. will not be acknowledged (and likely not even noticed). Any participants that become disruptive will be banned permanently from my stronghold. I reserve the right to do this without warning to keep things moving. All auctions will only be made via the Auction Master. Any attempts to peddle off your own items that are not in the auction will be deemed disruptive. Please keep say/yell clear aside from bids and the Auction Master's talk, especially while bidding is going on. Repeated or overly spammy failures to do so will be deemed disruptive. All bids must be made in at least 1000 credit increments (or more!). For example, if the current bid is 75k, your bid must be 76k or higher. DO NOT BID AS A JOKE. Any bid made will be considered to be real, no matter how large a jump in value. Once bids are closed on an item, the winning bid is expected to promptly claim their item and pay. If you need to gather funds (e.g., from alts) first please notify the Auction Master or one of the Auction Assistants. Items may be held for up to 15 minutes while you do so. Failure to pay for your item will result in your being banned, then the next highest bid will be declared the winning bid. Please wait for the Auction Master to announce the opening bid amount before bidding, there may be multiple entries of text necessary before I can provide that. If you buy a service (operation runs, etc.) through the auction, the details on how it will be provided and when/how you pay the seller are strictly between you and the seller. Unless the seller is in Covenant of the Phoenix, the Auction Master nor CotP makes any guarantees that the seller will or is capable of providing the service. We frankly lack any means to enforce the deal. If there is a dispute please notify the Auction Master and I will attempt to mediate the dispute, but absent banning the party in breach from future auctions there's unfortunately not going to be much I can do. Information and rules for requesting items be added to the auction! All items to be submitted to be auctioned off must be sent via an in-game mail to Sylena (Republic) or Eterea (Imperial). This in-game mail must have "FOR AUCTION" in its body (NOT just in its title!), so that I can retain the mail message to return unsold items/send your earnings. Failure to do so will result in your mail being returned. Covenant of the Phoenix will be charging a 5% commission from all successful sales. This is reduced to a 3% commission for CotP members. By submitting your items, you agree to the commission. The Auction Master has full discretion on whether to sell your items individually or as a set. Note that stackable items will generally be sold as a set, to be sold as a set items must be related (pieces of the same armor set, etc.). Sets will always be pooled from the items of a single seller. The Auction Master will be establishing starting/minimum bids on items. This will be 60% of current GTN price (if the GTN price of an item can be established and is not obviously inflated), the Auction Master will be using the best discretion, coupled with some thoughts from Auction Assistants when necessary, to ensure a fair starting bid. Reserve prices are optional. To request a reserve price, the price must be specified (in credits, please nothing vague) in your initial mail message. Reserve prices are subject to a 50k fee in order to be accepted, failure to include the fee will result in your being contacted or, if there is insufficient time, your items being returned to you. A reserve price is a minimum price required for the item to be sold, an amount known only to the Auction Master and the Auction Assistants. If the reserve price is not met by bids, the Auction Master or an Auction Assistant will attempt to contact you to see if you will accept the highest bid. If you can't be readily reached (remember, alt codes in your name make this much more difficult!) or are unresponsive, we will assume the answer is no and state to bidders that the reserve price was not met. Items submitted for auction must be worth at least 50k (50,000 credits; in value, not in opening bid amount). Item stacks or multiple pieces to be sold as a set (such as armor pieces) may be worth less than 50k individually, so long as the stack or set is worth at least 50k. Items must be received by the Auction Master at least half an hour before the auction starts. This means you need to send the in-game mail by 6:30 PM Eastern on April 1st. Any items received after the cut-off will be returned to the sender after the conclusion of the auction. The order items are auctioned off is at the sole discretion of the Auction Master, your items may be sold at different times throughout the evening. In the event of the auction running out of time, the Auction Master will return any items which were not sold to their owner. After the auction is concluded, your earnings (minus the commission) for all sold items (and any unsold items) will be returned to you as a reply to your mail message after the auction is completely concluded. I will not provide the credits to anyone by trade, for your own protection and mine. Please be patient and wait for the mail message, I know this adds a bit of an unfortunate delay, but this is the safest way to handle things to ensure you get your money. No real life items will be accepted for auction, this includes cartel coin card codes and similar game codes. There's too high a risk for fraud, illegal activity or activity against the terms of service. Any item, service, etc. that is against the terms of service will not be sold at auction. The Auction Master may report your attempted violation of the Terms of Service to Bioware. Selling a service (hard mode or nightmare mode operation runs, volunteering to group with someone for whatever, selling access to a famous closed guild, etc.). If you wish to sell a service, instead of charging a commission, there will be a 100k (100,000 credits) fee. This fee must be attached to your mail message, which follows the same rules as submitting one for an item. Please include all necessary information in the mail message that would be needed to sell the service (guild name of the progression team selling the nightmare operation run, faction restrictions, level/gear requirements for the winner, etc.). If you did not provide adequate information, I will try to contact you to collect the rest, but your fee will be returned if I cannot before the cut-off. If possible, please attend the auction so you can stand next to the Auction Master during bidding for your service. Opening bid amount will be 500k, though if you want to specify an opening bid I will give it consideration (but it is ultimately the Auction Master's judgment call). Your fee will not be refunded if your service is auctioned off, even if you choose to not accept the winning bid; it will only be returned if your service cannot be auctioned off for any reason. Payment methods and timing of the service will be strictly between yourself and the winning bidder, you will not owe us any commission. The Auction Master would love to hear how it went though! As I said in the buyer FAQ above, I cannot enforce much if the buyer falls through, I'd suggest keeping a note of the next winning bidder as well just in case. If there is a dispute, please let the Auction Master know and I will try to make reasonable efforts to sort things out and mediate, but ultimately there's little I can do other than banning the breaching party from future auctions. If you have any additional questions, please talk to Govic in-game or send an in-game mail massage to Sylena (Republic) or Eterea (Imperial).
