Relaed
If you have an interest to play NeverWinter, starting Monday evenings, next week 1/9/17, USA TZ around 8pm, I would love for you to join me in running the Encounters around our Stronghold in order to clear out the areas, earn the currencies needed to implement upgrades to provide guild wide bonuses! It's a challenge for sure, and I would not spend more than an hour on it in the evenings. Let's getter dun! 8-) The Stronghold: You can read more about Strongholds here: STRONGHOLD Stronghold Encounters: You can review the list of Stronghold Encounters Edited February 1, 2017 by Relaed
Relaed
I made some high level friends, even they don't know everything, so I did some reading too, and it is recommended that a guild push for the Guild Marketplace first, so I have set the Focus for guild donations on that. People have already started donating, as I have. You have to be over level 20, then go to the Stronghold and bare left and go to the back, there is the mail box, guild bank, something else, and the Mimic - living box, you make donations to him. I'll keep adding things to this thread as I learn about the Stronghold. It's the newer feature from August 2016, and is meant to promote guild work, alliances, and pvp between guilds and alliances with sieging, but that is all going to be higher level stuff. Building the SH as we go to give us all bonuses is the first priority. Like other PW games, the SH is the only place to get certain high level items, and it is well worth it, like in Star Trek Online, only high level Fleet Starbases could give the best stuff, and the amount was limited by guild inputs. Relaed
Okay, I was able to complete our first Stronghold structure, the Lumberyard, and it is generating wood to be used for other projects, it needs to be 'tended' to every 18 hours, or the wood hold will fill and it will stop making more wood. The next structure will be for food, also needed for other structures to build. Once the Structure was built, the small mobs that were around it are removed, so its a bit safer to get there then it had been. A big thank you to all that donated materials for the project. Relaed
The Siege of Neverwinter event is a great way for the guild to work in a group of 5 maximum, and farm the Siege NPCs generally, and especially the Assaults/Invasions/CounterAttacks/Catapults as they have more NPCs spawn for more chances to get the drops. Siege Drops do not have loot or gear, they do have extremely hard to get Vouchers for resources needed to build stronghold structures though, and that is the goal. Form a team, because you get less chances at kills and drops running solo. Work the maps and zone chat to find Assaults/Invasions/CounterAttacks/Catapults and do them. Try to NOT kill the boss, but farm the NPCs for more kill/drop chances for as long as possible. We have so far done 2 group runs at this, and have come away with over 100 vouchers, assorted bags for gear, and if you run Dragon's Hoard Enchantments, you'll get even more drops. Good Luck All! Relaed
We are kinda stuck on the last item needed to build the next structure. Adventurer's Shard of Power. There are only 3 places to get these, random drops from Dragonflight Stronghold Chests - beyond us at the moment. You can get 2 each from running the stronghold NPC quests the Cleric and the Scout if I recall. One has you 'subdue' 50 enemies of any type in a level appropriate zone, and the other has you finish 4 quests in a similar zone. Both take the most time, so they have to be prioritized. Good Luck! Relaed
There is another, more expensive source for Adventurer's Shard of Power. On the Zen market, there is a Stronghold Chest of Power - Stronghold Chest of Power Stronghold Chest of Power A Stronghold Chest of Power contains various Shard of Powers for use in a Guild Stronghold. They can be purchased from the Zen Market for 300. Contained inside is: 100 [Heroic Shard of Power] 100 [Conqueror's Shard of Power] 100 [Dungeoneer's Shard of Power] 100 [Adventurer's Shard of Power] Random Stronghold resource Voucher The can bevestment, and the need for them only grows as the projects get bigger purchased on the AH also for about 120,000 AD, a significant investment, that only grows as the projects get bigger. Relaed
GUILD ROSTER CAPS: Our team is excited to see how guilds will grow in the world of Neverwinter when our newest expansion – Neverwinter: Strongholds – launches for PC in summer of 2015 and Xbox One later in the year. With the team bringing a massive map for guilds to take over, build and defend, the current guild structure in Neverwinter will need to change to ensure our content is balanced and scales appropriately. Starting immediately, we will be reducing the guild cap in Neverwinter to 150 accounts and 500 characters on both PC and Xbox One. Before jumping into the details, let’s talk a little bit more about why we’re doing this. Neverwinter: Strongholds offers an ambitious amount of content that will give guilds more meaning in our free-to-play MMORPG. With all these changes, our team wants to make sure we can balance that for small, medium and large guilds and the current guild cap creates a gap that is too wide between those three groups. In addition to content balancing, we also want to make sure our largest in-game map can scale appropriately. We can’t share too much information now, but we’ll have more info on the blog when we get closer to launch. Now, let’s talk about what is going to change. Starting now, guilds will be capped at 150 accounts and 500 characters. Previously, our guild capped at 500 characters, who could all have come from their own unique accounts. For those guilds that already have over 150 account, you will not be forced to reduce the amount of characters in your guild. Your guild is considered to be grandfathered into the system, keeping all 150+ accounts. You can add new accounts to your guild once you have reduced your guild's size to the new guild cap (150 accounts and 500 characters). Guilds with over 150 accounts will also be able to participate in the Strongholds content, so don’t worry about needing to make guild adjustments to be able to play. We’ll have more information regarding how guilds will participate in Strongholds content in the near future. As always feel free to send feedback via Twitter, Facebook and Reddit. We will open up a forum thread to collect additional feedback once our forum migration has completed.
Relaed
To make things to contribute to the guild stronghold, use your profession skills as follows! Jeweler makes Gems, Artificer make Equipment, Leadership makes AD and Labor, Alchemy makes Gold. Gems are in need from a Jewel because the free Rank 5 Enchants that drop are only worth 10 each when donated, small projects need like 30,000! Craft away! If you need any materials, we have a crafting cabal going to share stuff, just ask.
Relaed
This is a description of the new Stronghold Features Releasing with Shroud of Souls Update. The main feature will be to help smaller guilds trade in abundant resources for hard to get resources, speeding along over all development of the Stronghold, and the boons it provides to it's members. Developer Blog: Stronghold StructuresBy Julia (nitocris83) Tue 18 Apr 2017 08:00:00 AM PDT The forthcoming Shroud of Souls module features some exciting new changes to guild strongholds. As part of the module, we are opening up the Great Hall at the center of your stronghold as a space your guild can gather and customize by decorating the room. In addition, we are adding a new plot type to the stronghold, temporary plots. These plots are similar to the jubilee trader—a location that is only active during the Protector’s Jubilee event once per year. The difference with these new temporary plots is that they are available to all guilds, all the year round. Each guild, regardless of guild rank, has four new plots located in the Millabout area at the rear of the stronghold. These four plots form a small market area where guilds can place a variety of new temporary structures. You can only build one of each structure at a given time, and each structure lasts for one week. After that time the merchant packs up and moves on and you can build on that plot again. These structures serve a couple of primary purposes. The first group are specialist stores for Masterwork Professions. These stores sell components necessary to undertake new masterwork recipes and the crafting tasks that produce furniture and decorations for your guild’s Great Hall. This group includes the Bloomery, the Atelier, the Goldsmith, and the Tenterground. These vendors also sell basic crafting materials in bulk for guild marks if you’re looking to level a profession. The second group are similar to the jubilee vendors in that they produce resources for your guild. These structures need to be tended to deposit resources into your guild’s coffer, and are designed to help smaller guilds gain access to some of the harder to accumulate resources. This group includes the Recruiter, the Assayer, and the Gemcutter. Building these new structures allows smaller guilds to turn plentiful resources, such as wood, metal, stone, or food into scarcer ones, such as Influence, Gems, and Gold. Most of the new structures require some combination of the basic resources, which guilds typically have in decent quantities. For larger guilds, the masterwork stores allow them to create more decorations for their Great Hall or for auction, converting Guild Marks into much needed Astral Diamonds. Guilds with Astral Diamonds to spare have an extra choice, the Mysterious Merchant. This shady character has a store containing an assortment of items including decorations for the Great Hall and some rare equipment. Each time you summon the Mysterious Merchant to your stronghold the items in her store can change, so you’ll never be sure exactly what she’ll have to offer. Other than mystery. She always has plenty of that. We hope that temporary structures will help smaller guilds make progress as we continue to assess the stronghold economy. Look for additional structures in forthcoming modules, and let us know what else you’d like to see to help your stronghold thrive.
Relaed
We are currently in need of Gems to complete our next project. Thousands of gems! ZOMG! The fastest way to get them is to farm mobs in zones while wearing 3-4 Fey Blessing Enchants, that give you additional chances to pickup more enchantments. So run like the wind! Smash your foes til it hurts! Collect those enchantments. Sharandar may be the place with the most mobs in small zone, so give that a try.
Relaed
Summary: When you go to actually upgrade the stronghold, you have to go to the interaction sign to the left of the Traveling Wizard. Common sense would have put the upgrade ability in the same interact window where you select the upgrades - but nooooo!! [7/15 22:22] [Tell] From [Enyo@yopuko]: Sure, shoot away [7/15 22:22] [Tell] To [Enyo@yopuko]: Thank you. [7/15 22:23] [Tell] From [Enyo@yopuko]: No prob at all. Hopefully I have an answer haha ^^ [7/15 22:23] [Tell] To [Enyo@yopuko]: We have all the materials and prereqs to upgrade from Guild level 2 to 3, but it doesn't have a button or selection to actually make it happne. What are we missing? [7/15 22:24] [Tell] From [Enyo@yopuko]: Hmm... where are you looking for the button? [7/15 22:24] [Tell] From [Enyo@yopuko]: Typically you need to visit the actual Guild Hall structure and interact with the post there - the post should be beside the Travelling Wizard if I remember right [7/15 22:24] [Tell] To [Enyo@yopuko]: I was looking to select the next upgrade, shows all the stuff is there, and just do it. [7/15 22:26] [Tell] From [Enyo@yopuko]: Yeah. Also check the pre-requisites, it may require other structures to be at a certain Level / Rank as well before upgrading [7/15 22:28] [Tell] To [Enyo@yopuko]: you are right, there is an interact sign next to the wizard [7/15 22:28] [Tell] From [Enyo@yopuko]: Whew, so Im not crazy after all ^^ [7/15 22:30] [Tell] To [Enyo@yopuko]: Thanks mate, your my new BFF!!! [7/15 22:30] [Tell] From [Enyo@yopuko]: Haha no problem at all man, just glad to help ^^ Edited January 17, 2018 by Relaed
Relaed
2018-01-17 STRONGHOLD Having discussed with a couple leaders of other guilds in our alliance, they are in the same position that we are in, getting a smaller guild to Level 5 and then being able to build boon structures is a lot of work. We have laid the ground work and have built the facilities to produce Wood, Metal, Stone, and Food. We tend those structures until they are full, then comes the harder party. 10s or 100s of thousands of points for item donations, campaign currencies being the hardest, so we are looking to bring some rational to the process. Designated Donators! I would like to hear from those that would be willing to focus on just one area of donation, specialize in it, maximize it. Please contact me if you would be willing to focus on providing inputs for the following stockpile materials. GEMS: I invested tons in making Gems, so I can stick to that, others are needed. LABOR: Just make profession people, but them, buy vouchers, etc. SURPLUS EQUIPMENT: Several professions can be used to fulfill this one. GOLD : Requires Alchemy to make or just donate gold. ASTRAL DIAMONDS: Events like the siege are coming to give vouchers, this one is a team effort. So please, respond to me, letting me know which category you can focus on, we leadership will try to fill in the gaps. Any and all suggestions are appreciated to help the process along. Thanks in advance. Warm Regards,
Relaed
Stronghold Update: 2018-03 The stronghold is slowly being upgraded, it's a huge task requiring tons of slowly crafted items or expensive item vouchers from the Auction House. We are working towards Guild Level 5, with only one more secondary structure to upgrade before we can work on that. We have everything except labor, and those come from crafting labor crates or buying vouchers. Everyday, we add a bit more. Once Guild Level 5 is reached, we start to build boon structures that benefit the entire guild, and give us more power in the alliance. We are also looking to recruit a guild to the alliance, and in doing so will ask our guild to be promoted to a Sword Guild, and our invitee as a shield guild below us. Spring is coming!! Enjoy the outdoors!
